it will. but you will also need the wheel arches are they are wider on the 550. This wont match with the front bumper if this is the only thing you change.

How are the gents with GL450's converting to the GL550 kit if the wheel arches are needed? I thought there was someone over in the GL forum that converted a 450 to 550 kit.

Indeed the conversion kit comes with front and rear bumpers as well as the wheel arches. You cant really use just a part of the kit. You need to use the complete kit so that it doesnt look awkward.
