[QUOTE=mercup;7434552]the Q7 Supercharged 6 destroys a standard GLE /QUOTE]

How ? Is it fitted with Rocket launchers and gatling guns ? Or is it going to do that with its 333 hp and 325 lb/ft of torque ?

Has anyone ever told you hyperbole language does not make cars go faster ? A red paintjob does, for sure. Language, not so much.
And with any luck they'll buy it back in a year or two !

Has anyone ever told you that removing selected words from a sentence or paragraph and then quoting that...thus removing context is disingenuous?

The best part is you took hyperbole and made it literal and then complained about you yourself making it literal:
hy·per·bo·le
hīˈpərbəlē/
nounnoun: hyperbole; plural noun: hyperboles
  1. exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.

Nah - A car salesman posing like an insider on a forum. Car salesman are proven time and time again on various forums and through my experience as THE WORST sources of info regarding new models, vehicle specs, etc. If you want to know follow reputable sites, go to the green hell, or talk to a dealer prin. I knew this was a 2020 refresh 2 years ago but ole fab throwing out the bait...Sorry just can't stand over zealous sales people. I followed just watch it unravel. Hope the new GLS in 2020 is awesome...I am true car guy.

What I don't get is why people are still defending it. It's like the blind leading the blind. The original poster clearly had no clue about anything, but posted some nonsense and some ran with it. Clearly he never had any insider info , ever.

What a pair of trolls. Germancar1 owns a 19 year old MB and Nova99 doesn't own any but they both have it all figured out. Laughable.

...and neither did you, you were equally wrong about the GLE, so get off your high horse. Your pettiness is pitiful.

@JoeMa— I get you had faith in the OP, and that’s all well. However in retrospect, as the GLS still has considerable amount of cladding, non-prod taillights and other non prod details still in the spy shots, it was unreasonable to state or even to think it would have been debuted in the upcoming months as a 2019 model. Typically cars begin shedding camouflage closer to their debut (I.e. as the X7 has). Just my two cents on it, you’re free to hold your opinion.

And what does owning a newer Benz do for you regarding information about upcoming models? NOTHING. You're about as clueless as they come here and your ownership doesn't do squat to remedy it. It actually seems to make it worse. You prove that ownership means absolutely NOTHING regarding knowledge of the brand and their typical practices.

Yep because 8 model years is not the norm for a Mercedes, so no one saw that coming about the GLE. That said, the confusion on the GLS was idiotic from the from start for reasons that I and others gave here. No one is on a high horse here, but I have common sense enough to know when someone is posting junk in order to drive the forum vs an actual insider with real info. Don't get mad at me because a lot of these guys are clueless. Then you offer up you own reasons (the same ones I and other gave) as to why is was downright FOOLISH to think a new GLS was going to arrive for the 2019 model year. Hypocrite much?

I have to side with Germancar1 on this one. I would say for one to be a fan of a brand you don't even have to have a car from that brand. Plus only Fab was implying 2019 will be X167. I was hoping he was right but my SA told me multiple times 2019 will not be X167.

JoeMa - No disrespect as you seem to be a very loyal MB fan and car guy like the majority on here. I love all things cars, especially autos with V8s. However, Fab is a poser and a car salesman first, not an insider, and some people hang on his every word on this forum...just waiting for another nugget. If he was that in the know and high enough on the food-chain he would not jeopardize his status leaking BS to forums. I think my posting record albeit minute, coupled with the reality says enough. BTW - I am following because I am opining for an awesome GLS with captains chairs, 3rd row, monstrous V8, and upgraded tech all rolled up into a capable all wheel drive SUV. You don't need to defend ...

People will believe what they want to believe. Facts only confuse the issue. It has been so since the dawn of homo sapiens.

As far as the GLS is concerned I'm sticking with my own prediction. And I could very well be very wrong.

Hey, you're letting our cat out the bag! I would even settle for info like current MF, residuals, and incentives like we have on both BMW sites.
