I ordered one for the wife a couple of months back as a grad gift from TCU. I am kinda wondering how long from production start date to delivery. Production date is 18 April. Best I was told 3-4 days to build and a week or two before it gets delivered. I am in Fort Worth, its built in Alabama. Does that sound right. I know most assembly lines run about 6 hours beginning to end. I don't know for sure. I know the F-150 plant a Dearborn is one every 62 seconds and 6 hours from frame to driving. I know it is just an F-150.

Anyone got any insight?

I ordered my last two GL/GLS SUV's and one took 8 weeks from production start date and the other took 10 weeks. Once built they stage the cars in a lot until they're ready to ride the train to a distribution point close to your area, then a car carrier to your dealer.

Seems bordering on rediculous. I ordered it the beginning of February. Hmm so I am looking at around 6 months from ordering to receipt. Interesting.

I've always understood it to be 8 weeks.
