HELP with an After-Market Brake Controller

Greetings Members - I have a '18 GLS450 with the Tow Package - I am taking delivery of a mid-size enclosed cargo trailer that has e-brakes. My dealer just advised that I need to pursue an "After-Market Brake Controller". ?? Can anyone help direct me on this search. Thanks very much. Steve

OK, have been calling and searching ... and a local "Hitch Company" handles this product. It uses RF and therefore no splicing into the MB wiring is necessary. Am hoping the pic is attached ... first time attempting. It is a Tekonsha Brand product and is powered via the cig lighter and monitored with a remote.
?? any experience with this or similar

Try searching in the x166 gl forum. There’s been a lot of threads about towing and using that exact brake controller there.

Kombifan - Thanks very much. Found the Thread and read where 3 owners gave a "thumbs up" on the Tekonsha RF unit. So, that's a go for me.

I have the Tekonsha P3 wired under the dash in my GLE.
