2017 GLS 550 Tire sensor problems

For the past few months my Tire Pressure monitoring system (TPMS) has been coming on and off periodically. 1) The tires are fine ( checked by two different places ) 2) This happens no matter the temperature outside. 3) It usually occurs after driving for about an hour. 4) Dealer could not pull up an code, and they were unable to recreate the problem. The dealer did replace a rear sensor to see if that took care of the problem which it did not. 5) Light goes away after 20 min, or if the car is turned off. Any help would be great. Sorry if this was discussed already, I did a quick search and nothing came up. Anybody else have this same problem?

The receiver module must be intermittently faulty.

Only thing yiu can do is keep bringing it back when the problem pops up.

Thanks Kombifan, I got an appointment with MB this week. I hoping they just replace the module this time.

I agree it has to be the module itself. While I am not sure exactly where the module is, it may be a loose connection or the module itself needs to be replaced. The issue is at times the dealerships need to have the problem active for them to diagnose. I would truly ask and speak the the service manager to see if they can just replace the module and see fi that works..

FIXED! One of the senors was faulty, and I got lucky and the TPMS lights came on the way to the dealership. They were able to find the problem and fix it. Thanks for everyone's help.
