2024 GLS450
Just placed a deposit on a 24 GLS450. Sales guy said it should be arriving within 10-12 days from now. I was shocked considering other dealers have said Late September-Early October. He claims they got a very early allocation. Pricing seems to be secretly released also. Here is the build sheet..

Jeez 104k for a 450... These prices are nuts. I bought a used 2022 GLS450 to keep as a long trip/house car, with 8k miles on it last year for under 70k. The prices are getting out of hand...

That's a nice fully loaded GLS! I'm just glad I bought MY23 recently for significant savings!
I don't really see the justification for the $5200 increase from MY23's base price.

I think there is around $3400 worth of options that are now standard as you mentioned, versus a bump of $5200 in base MSRP, for a net increase of $1800 from 2023 to 2024 model.

Yeah, that base price is what I paid in Sept 2020 for our well equipped 450 that included the staggered 21’ wheels, rear spoiler, rear hvac, heated/cooled seats front and back ( heated only in back), heated steering wheel, rear window shades, tow package.

Salesguy sent me some photos of an identical one to mine that I placed a deposit on, but this one came from MBUSA for dealer testing and training.

can't wait for that color interior...they've needed a warm option for so long...

And the new grill and wireless carplay are worth $1800 alone. We passed on our '23 car and decided to wait for the '24 for these features.

Hopefully the wireless CP/AA goes off w/o a hitch but I'm sure new '24 owners will let us know!

It appears from the Order Guide that the rear badging is still on the cars with AMG Line Exterior Package - on cars with out it the Guide shows the rear of the car without any badges.

I don't have a lot of faith in what the order guide shows. The drawing with the dimensions also show the 580 with the pre-2024 grill (page 17), while the 450 shows the 2024 grill (page 16). I don't think that means only the 450 will get the new grill.

Congrats on your order! These photos are great. I ordered nearly the same interior and I am happy I went with the Bahia Brown instead of the Catalina Beige. The only difference on my order from these photos is a black headliner and wood trimmed steering wheel. Build date is 8/24, can't wait.

Not sure why any manufacture would voluntarily remove the badge of type of car it is? Seem like a wasted chance for free advertising for a potential new customer who sees and likes the car and wants to know what model it is.
Same with the Maybach. If they're de-badging a GLS 450, then why keep the obnoxious "M" on the side of the Maybach version?
My experience, when I see a de-badged car, I tend to think of those Fiero Testarossas.

That's a good question. We are in a strange situation in that we have competing orders for the benz and a range rover pending, waiting to see which one appears first. This stems from the benz dealer screwing up our order last year (apparently forgetting to place it and then covering his tracks with a series of denials for three months until I showed up at the dealership and confronted him directly), the '23 he finally ordered showing up in late May right after the '24 refresh was announced (to which we said no thanks given the then impending new grill and wireless CP), driving the new RR during the intervening period (which we loved), and the fact that the RR comes in a true hybrid.
I have not checked in with the benz dealer at all because: (1) I don't put any stock in anything he says given the stream of BS he fed us last year; and (2) I'm leaning in the direction of taking the RR if it shows up first.
