hey guys i got a brand new 2007 Mercedes Key...i got it frommy uncle who just sold his c300 and forgot to give the spare to the private buyer...private buyer is 2 hours away and doesnt really want it. anyways so im selling it its never been used and has no scratches at all. im asking 45+shipping..if not ill just keep it or something. I taught if the KEY has been programed ONCE it cant be reprogrammed.....NOT sure if its TRUE...DO RESEARCH!!!!

The boards for the newer key fobs are not the same as the old ones. There was a write up done where you take certain chips off the board and solder them onto the new board. Looks like a PITA but I am not a fan of soldering.

Mikey was talking about why dont you ship the key to the buyer of the car. I mean the buyer obviously doesnt know how much these keys cost new if you need a replacement if you lose your one and only key. Thats why he said what he did.

Ribo89 you are correct. It's programmed just once according to your vehicle VIN, that is why the dealers ask for your copy of our Driver License, Consent to authorize and some your car copy of registration, to verify your vehicle is yours, and hence once the KEY is pre-paid, it is not returnable and only will work with the car with the given VIN.
