Is the Nissan contingent the most prolific wannabee race crowd? I keep smoking them, and they keep coming back! (another 350Z) a couple of days ago.

They seem to be dying for an MBZ kill.

Watch out for the supercharged and turbocharged crowd . There's quite a few of them running around now w/ fully built motors since there is a huge aftermarket support for this vehicle.

Its funny how they think they can take on my E55. I know its not the fastest machine but it sure is damn quicker than their car.

Have had a few pull up to me at a light in the past but they did not want to play. I would feel sorry if one wanted to play now since I have my Kleemann K2 mods and have over 600HP and close to 650 pounds of torque to show them

I hate to burst your bubble but the 350z and G35 coupe are very capable cars for the money. Not only are they very well performing, but they are a steal (and generally more reliable cars). A 350z starts at about 27K, G35 at about 32K.

You CANNOT compare these cars to an AMG. An E55 starts at about 85K. Basically, you could buy 3 350z's for the price of one E55. Or, you could buy a loaded 350z/g35 coupe, upgrade them and make them AMG eaters on the track AND the highway. And you would still have money left over. Plus you would get a real transmission, none of this auto-stick garbage they're putting into cars now.

This is not to bash AMG owners. Whatever floats your boat. If you don't care for MT's, or Japanese cars, that's fine. But you need to realize that for the price you paid you shouldn't really be too proud that you killed a car worth a third of your car's price.

They are capable cars, but when the redline starts approaching, price doesn't matter. It's all about who has a overall faster car.

Vomit's so right, when will they learn

You're assuming that they racing knowing they will win. If that's the case, the drivers are stupid. But most will race just for fun just to see what the other car has got. I've raced a 911 turbo in my ML320 just to hear it and see it race away; I'm an auto enthusiast and love to see cars faster than me give it all theyve got.

Don't be so condescending towards others. It makes us look like *****s.

No I was never assuming that they were racing knowing they will win, you're trying to put words in my mouth. I just said that once the 'race' is on, doesn't matter if you have leather seats, if you have a more expensive car, or this or that, it's just who wins at the end.

Plus, I'm allowed to be a *****, I'm still young

Well you implied it when you asked "when will they learn?" it's pretty clear.

Anyway have fun being a *****.

I agree w/ some of the posts here. Most of the time, I want to see what the other car can do. I've lined up against a C5 a few times and I was already sure I had no chance unless the driver misses a gear or something. In the end, I don't care if I win or lose, just wanna see what the other car can do w/ my own eyes instead of watching it in action on videos or on tv. Come on people, if you're a "true" car enthusiast, you should appreciate other cars as well as your own.

Two seperate thoughts. The first part of that post was a general statement.

The second was re-affirming Vomit.

Will do btw, it's massive fun.

I think that we all agree that it is fun to race, and even sometimes fun to get smoked, especially by a very worthy car.

The original point of my post was not to slam the 350Z or the G35. For the money, they are excellent cars. My point was that the DRIVERS of these cars seem to be beotches in heat when it comes to racing an MBZ. Just my observation:

I have lined up with 10+ Vettes in perfect racing scenarios: Two Raced

I have lined up with 5 Porsches in perfect racing scenarios. None Raced.

I have lined up with 10+ G35s or 350Zs in perfect racing scenarios. Six Raced.

I am 1 and 1 with the Vettes, 0/0 with the Porsches, and 6 and OH with the Nissans.

My observation is simply that the G35/350Z crowd seems to be very "racey" and not very aware of their vehicle limitations. Not a bad thing. Just an observation. Do I want them to stop racing? Of course not, it is fun!

Your reasoning is severely flawed. Porsche and Vette owners are OLD. Old people do not race on the streets. G35/Z owners are younger and are willing to risk it to have fun.

I think, we've kinda argued into a circle here. The Nissan owners are young, and because of that they want to have fun and race. That's why I think, they will never learn, because it's a much younger audience.

Youre the one going in a circle

Again, you said that Nissan owners never learn. But I have already said that most Z/G drivers know AMG's and know they have no chance, but they race for fun. Not because they never learn.

Dude, no you're still putting words in my mouth. I never said they don't race for fun, and I never said they race knowing they'll win. All I said was when will they learn in response to Vomit. Like, when will they learn to not mess with AMG kinda stuff.

Okay you know what, I don't want to argue or anything. You're right, Nissan owners are just stupid. I should know, I am one.

Wow, you are confused. When you say (or re-affirm Vomit) "They will never learn," it is basically saying "why are those idiots trying to race me?" And I told you why, twice. I am not putting words in your mouth, just reading between the obvious lines.

Okay you know what, I don't want to argue or anything. You're right, Nissan
owners are just stupid. I should know, I am one.
Umm, actually I'm the one arguing that they aren't stupid. I think you forgot which side youre arguing for.

Anyway, let's leave it at that.

And you're not even coming off as a ***** in your posts...whats wrong?

My first sports car was a new Nissan 1992 300ZX TT and I loved that car. Drove it for three years as my daily driver an loved taking the T-tops off.

Was a fast car for its day and even chipped it and had redone the exhaust.

I hope that does not make me stupid.

Heh.

No when we say, when will they ever learn, it's just a way of us to say that AMG's are fast and these guys love to mess with us. I would never call someone with another performance car and idiot (unless they deserved it, but I digress) because I'm one of those open minded guys.

I'm arguing for all sides man, I'm just trying to say, that I think you're making a few assumptions.

Oh I've been having a bad week, I'll be back to mr badass ***** in no time because of the week. It's like a phase. If I have a bad week, I get angry, if I have a good one, I end up being super nice, even to the trolls on mbworld.

What'd it like to drive the older Z's? I've never ever driven one and I don't think I'll ever be able to get my hands on one. I don't know anyone who has one

I am all about equal rights/protection: When I get stomped by a charged 350Z, which I certainly will at some point, I will create a thread on this forum entitled

"Dumbass/****less AMG Smug ***** Gets Smoked/Raped By 6cyl. Nissan"

I can't help but laughing.

If you get beat by a stock Z, you're not allowed to drive your AMG anymore.
