C32 AMG vs Mustang GT
I was leaving the local shopping center in Tijuana tonight with my chiqita. The exit is a double left turn lane out of town. A Blue 2005+ Mustang GT lined up along side of us. Guys timing is everyting and I had just this afternoon finished the install of the Code 3 SC pulley to go with my C3P intake. Testing later in the day had the 0-60 times running:
4.55 sec
4.74
4.81
5.05
5.10 (lots of wheel spin)
On ave this is ~2-3 tenths better than before (Maybe more). Traction is really bad on these dirty Mexican streets, lol. So, it could do even better if it would hook.
Anyway, I figure what better way to break in the new pulley than to skin a stang. The 2005 and later models are about 300 hp and not slow. It is about a 5 sec flat 0-60. Anyway, we turned left and I gently goosed the old AMG to put us ahead of the Ford jockey to see if he would bite. Truth is I was not sure as he lagged behind. The the light turned red up ahead and I stopped and waited as he lined up beside us. I figured, I would give him the jump, so I did not throttle up until it was clear that the Mustang was "Game On". He came off the line fangs out and I punched the little red C32. In the span of 4 sec (1st gear and part of 2nd), we pulled about 2-3 cars on the poor bastid. I slowed and waited but got no further interest from our boy. It is probably just as well as a herd of burros was walking in the road up ahead and that had snarled up the traffic and would have prevented any additional shenanigans anyway. Kudos to C3P for making such fine products from one happy customer.

Very good numbers for that car. Congrats. Skinning that horse shouldn't have been too much sweat, as it turned out...
Have you considered new wheels for your car?

Wheels
New Wheels? No, I really like the stock wheels as good as any I have seen. The 17's weigh less than the larger wheels (19's?) on the C55 and look as good. I have been looking at new tires as the Pirellis do not hook very well to me. Probably going with Bridgestone Re50's.
Timed it 0-100 mph the other day. Closed course. Did only one pull but it clocked 12.41 sec which seems a good bit better than before. Before the pulley and intake bone stock, it ran a 13.54 ET @ 103 mph but I have not had it to track since the mods. Only the shorter accelleration tests. I did have it tuned up after the dragstrip runs also.
I am guessing low 13's on a good day right now. 13.10 or 13.20 if I do my part. I think launches will be harder cause it will spin much more now if I am sloppy. How much has a C3P pulley and intake knocked off of other car's times? I know it knocked a consistent 2-3 tenths off my 0-60 times but I had no data on the 0-100 run to compare to. I would not be at all surprised to see it drop a full 5/10ths in the qtr but that might be wishful thinking too, as I have seen few with my mods doing under 13.10 ET's. Comments?
As for the Stang, I gave him the jump of about a wheel and still the AMG walked on him pertty easy. Alot of the advantage is the slush box. I really like a stick shift but unless you can drive it well, it is a handicap to alot of people when playing like that in a straight line. I think the guy lost a whole car when he shifted to 2nd.

My goal is that when I cross paths with a real car guy, who knows what the AMG is and what it "Should" do, that I surprise him just a little bit more, lol. i.e. My cousin who has the SRT-8 Charger and is convinced that nothing on the street will touch it, lol. He looks at the tiny 3.2 V6 and scoffs. We have not had the chance to play together yet but when we do, I want it to be memorable. I would like to add an LET tuen next and then call it good.

Kudos Loungn14. I was aware of your car not long after I got my C32. My goal was never to make mine the fastest C32. I just wanted it to be a little bit faster than expected, if you know what I mean. I try to keep up with what cars are as fast as mine stock or approximately the same. Part of the appeal of the C32 is that it was quick stock but is easy to make measurably quicker while still looking and sounding stock. The added boost from the C3P was enough for me and the easy install made it a no brainer. I looked as some of the smaller crank pulleys but they would have been about the same as the C3P, so I took that route.

I probably need a set of IK20s and an LET tune to top it off. C3 pulley and C3 intake is plenty for me.
