I know my own car. When my temp gauge reaches close to 100c it loses 2-3mph in the 1/4. The auto slushbox cuts back alot when its at those temps fool. I will bet you any money thats what really happens. If you have the ***** to bet.

What you're too stupid to realize is that you're talking about the oil tempartures reaching extremes decreasing engine efficiency. Which has NOTHING to do with heat soak (The heating effect of air from a HOT intercooler which a N/A motor doesn't have.) Your IAT's are always going to be the same.

Sure, 1000 dollars right now, your slow car vs my car. We'll run over and over, result will be your slow S|-|it not being to keep up every time regardless.

You do realize the ecu has no control over the transmission right? You also realize that the TCU has no way of determining what is the temperature outside right?
Yes, they have an internal OIL temperature sensor, but that does not translate to the TCU retarding transmission shift points, you will blow up a transmission before it 'cuts back to protect the transmission'. You're retarded if you think otherwise.
Jon, do yourself a favor, pull your head out your ***. Then head down to your local library and get yourself some books on automotive technology. Your *** in not a library, it contains 0 useful information. Only unless HP figures and 1/4 mile times.

The guy has owned the car barely one yr to my 5 yrs owning an AMG and he makes comments like this?
The humidity will effect the motor and will have nothing to do with the tranny .

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. Especially with Jon.
Carl PM me your number, I no longer have it. I want a pull against your C55 or the talon =D.

The torque converter in any auto cuts back when its humid or hot. Unlike a manual tranny. AMG trannys are no different. I know this for sure.

Bingo. I would love to explain this further, but seeing it wont stick through Jon's thick skull there's no point.

Jon,Jon,Jon,please quit while you're ahead!
The engine timing, fuel, air intake pressure/temperature, is what gets affected when it's humid which in turn would affect how the engine runs and then the ECU/TCU would tell the tranny to shift. The humidity does not affect the transmission one bit. Again it's the engine sensors mainly that respond to the humidity which then in turn would affect the performance characteristics of the motor. The tranny will only respond to the info sent to it via ECU to TCU.
Back up your info with some facts will-ya!

This guy is like 35-40, skinny as hell, and could not fight his way out of a wet paper bag. I don't understand how he thinks he has the right to talk big, whether on a forum or in person. FYI I haven't been on this forum in a while, and after reading this thread I can't help but think that Ben has not been answering you (Jons95c36amg) simply because he has realized, like the rest of us, that he will get nowhere with you. Just give up, you will never justify yourself and no-one will ever take you seriously.

I knew if I opened this thread I'd subject myself to a lot of bs.
