Question bought a used key from a friend (more)
I have a 2003 ML 350. I purchased a used key from a friend who has a 2003 ML 350 also. I switched over the laser cut key, but when I try to program the remote, I get a "start error" displayed on the dash. Do I have to get the remote programed by the dealership (because of immobilizer) or can I do it my self. I have one key that still works and no problem. Thank you for your help in advance.

Nope!! Get your money back. Each key is programmed at the factory for DAS (immoblizer) That cannot be programed or changed.

i'm not losing much..just $5
better than going on ebay and dropping $20 or more on a key that won't work
