Slammed ML's - I want to see them and also pro/cons...

Just got my ML back from it's 100K service (odometer just hit 94K miles) and boy does it run nicer

Bad news is that my suspension is gone pretty much so looking to get some used shocks/springs from the Classified section - have yet to look so if anyone has some for sale, PM or e-mail me!

Now onto my post title, I'm sure many of you have "lowered" your ML but what is the best way to do this? I've done many coilover setups on my cars but never a truck.

What have you guys done? Not looking to destroy the use-ability of the ML but mainly doing this so it won't roll so much in turns....my g/f hates that part of this car!

Should I look into a spring/shock combo or maybe sways?

Post your pics guys!

thanks,
rick

You won't find a slammed ML, and I wouldn't suggest it either. I know what it's like to ride and drive slammed cars/trucks, it sucks. Handles like a rock, but worse.

Check out what www.tirerack.com has, I also suggest you wait for other posts as well, lots of folks have modified the W163 chassis with success.

Been thinking of doing this too, not slam but just lower a little bit and lessen the wheel and fender gap.

I have purchase eibach lowering springs for the rear 1.5" lower and will just adjust the torsion bars in front to drop it about an inch. I haven't done this yet, but am told it is pretty simple and effective.
