recalls on ml320
I recently purchased my 00 ml320 about 4 months ago and i was wondering about the recalls and if they have been done and how I can go about getting the recall work done under the recall if it hasnt already been done. I currently have a rattling comming from undernieth the drivers seat sounds like its commming from the cats. Its a loud rattling when the car is idling in gear or when it idles down. Any help is appreciated.

Rattle is usually a bad cat. That should be able to be replaced under emmissions warranty by a dealer. Only other recalls I am aware of are the PS hose clamps and the Harmonic balancer. Both relativly minor but should be taken care of before they become an issue.

You can also take the truck to your dealer ans ask them to check by VIN. They should be able to tell you what's been done and what needs to be done on the truck. You can also check the NHSTA site where all recalls and technical bulletins are summarized.

i know there is now warranty with the truck......so you are saying the dealer has its own emessions warranty they should fix the cats under..... I am just wanting to get this fixed, but if i can get it done and not have to pay an arm and a leg i will
