Do we have 'Lemon' Laws in England ?
The car has developed a fault whereby when driving, the Engine management light illuminates, quickly followed by a spectacular display of every single warning light illuminating. The engine cuts out with the resultant loss of power steering and Brakes. This experience is quite frightening for my daughter who normally drives the vehicle.
Apart from being frightening it is downright Dangerous. On one occasion she was passing a slow moving Tractor with a trailer when the Engine died, so she was stuck on the wrong side of the road unable to pass and unable to stop with traffic approaching in the distance. On todays failure, she was in the outer lane of the Motorway, and could not move over towards the hard shoulder due to traffic volume, and she was nearly rammed from behind as she was stopping for no apparent reason without brake lights.
Mobilo life have been excellent with the recovery of the vehicle and provided good quality loan cars. Our local dealer has attempted to rectify the problem twice now, and the vehicle is today being recovered again.
I have written to the Dealer Principle this morning requesting an exchange vehicle but I wonder what he is going to say.
