Lightbulb 2000 ML430 mod questions

currently, the climate controls in my ML430 are all manual. has there been reports where other owners have been able to make it like the newer auto climate control type?

also how would I go about activating the navigation and cellphone feature on the MCS?

another thing anyone have problems with the driver side mirror vibrating?

I can address the NAV since I did mine recently. IF it came to you already installed all you have to do is pop in the navigation disk. If it was installed after you purchased it you'll need to go to Benz and have it "version coded" so the voice will work. Basically they link their computer to yours and set the computer in your car so it knows there is a NAV installed. Cost me US $99.00 to do that after I installed mine. Love it.

It is very easy for the dealer to install the NAV for you. I did it myself to save myself a couple hundred dollars. I'm not sure about the 2000 ML's. You may have to have some kind of splitter. My '03 was very simple with just two existing plugs to plug in and it worked - except for the voice - then have it "version coded" by the dealer to get the voice.

There may be a difference between early build and late build 2000 MLs. I have a late build, base model ML320, only option was sunroof. Bought the NAV on ebay for $600, popped it in, fired up worked perfect. No splitter, no coding, no nothing, just needed an antenna. I used an Alpine that I have sitting on the corner of the dash instead of the OEM roof antenna. Was much cheaper, cannot even notice it is there.
