About a couple of months ago or so, I picked up a 2005 ML350 Special Edition with 15k miles. Brand spanking new in other words 
I retrofitted OEM Navigation and CD Changer in there. Next mod, HID's.
So I've been taking the car/truck/van to the beach a few times but a couple days ago I decided to go take it on a mountain trail. What I didn't know was that there was a river snaking around the trail. So I had to cross it a total of about 16-18 times. Some spots were crazy with embankments that were way steep. I didn't know if I would make it, but the ML actually proved itself worthy and made it without a hitch.
In the water, I went as deep as my door sill. Water actually went over the hood a bit.
Saw a bear there too. He was standing in the middle of the trail and took off when he saw us. Saw a bunch of bambis too. It was nice

sorry guys i am new at this but what is a v1 because i am really interested to see what it will do offroading after seeing a video of a jeep and the benz goin through water up to the hood and the benz was just as good as the jeep!

The W163 is amazing off road, it's built quite decently for basic all around off roading. The X5 sucks at everything unless it's on the street.
