Hello everyone. I dont want to go with an Hid Kit. To expensive right now. I was just wondering, What kind of bulbs should I get? I know there are really crappy ones such as those eurolite ones. But I dont want to go with those. They make your housing a really nasty blue color and dont give good output. I do want the blueish-purplish light. But if I cant get that I wouldnt mind going with pure white light. What do you guys suggest????

Blue bulbs will only reduce your available light compared to clear bulbs.
A higher wattage bulb may melt wiring, connectors, and the housing itself.
I also find aftermarket bulbs do not last very long for whatever reason....

Thanks alot saturn so what do you recommend. Anything except a kit that produces a light blue color. I hate the look of those eurolite or whatever bulbs. And that blue wouldnt suit my exterior color. Its Desert Metalic (sort of like a champagne color). I want something purplish-dark bluish. Is that possible or will my headlight have only one color output since its not a projector ? What do you suggest?

I don't know what to recommend. I assume since you didn't say, and you have a champagne colored ML without projector headlamps that you have a 2001 model year ML. Try switching housings to a 2002 or later.... Also try having the headlamps aimed properly.

To me, HID is worth the price for safety and the added bling bling. Let's face it--It's a Mercedes so nothing comes cheap!
Another option is to get fog lights. I have the Hella xenon micro DEs which are $700 at tirerack. They are amazingly bright!

Consider our Predator Xenix bulbs which are simple xenon colored halogen replacements that swap out your stock yellow halogens for whiter versions.

We have silverstars on my mom's ML retrofitted with the projector headlights. They are pretty bright and white, not quite as bright as HID, but that's not expected. I'd go with those as they look the closest. A lot of other bulbs out there make it very easy to tell that your just running a blue tinted halogen bulb. The silverstars a pure white from my observation. Just make sure you have them focused correctly.
