Will these Black Euro Projectors Fit 01 ML55?

I've got HID low beam, quartz highs. Backs of these look different than my stock ones. Any comments? Thanks.

They are basically aftermarket versions of the late model halogen projectors. Your D2R bulbs probably will not transfer to these, since they'll be made to accept H7 halogen.

I have the H7 high beams but the seller has not responded regarding the low beam socket.

2000 ML 320
Black ML Projectors

Hi, I am currently running these on my 2000 ML 320. Before you make the purchase, be aware that the materials and workmanship on these units are NOWHERE NEAR O.E.M. quality as the listing states (I am assuming these are on E-bay). My first set arrived damged. Also, after installing these, I found that they are not wired properly (only the brights would turn on), so be prepared to re-wire them yourself (It's not too difficult though), so they are not "plug and play" which is what the seller also would like you to believe and many sellers make this statement in their listings. The bulbs that are included are not worth using, so I would also change those out, and purchase a tube of RTV silicone and seal the entire lense housing as best as you can to avoid any moisture build up which eventually fogs the lenses. Fortunately, I was able to get a partial refund for my trouble.
If you are willing to take the risk and deal with the initial issues required before installing these units, you will have one wicked looking ML, mine gets plenty of looks now! I hope this info helps you...

Thanks - there are several sellers but no where does it mention if the low beam HID will work. Wiring ain't a problem but I'm not going to engineer a socket change. Are '02+ able to be disassembled so they could be painted?

Good idea! Viktor apparently disassembled his to remove the amber reflectors (using DOT spec OEM lights). These are hopefully the same.

Assuming this is directed at me... Yes, there are adapter plates made to fit D2S/R bulbs into H7 (and with both, the filament/arc run front to back, so Daniel Stern apostles will be somewhat appeased), however the ML H7 lights use a strange adapter plate itself to make the H7 twist in. Normal H7 applications (like my C70) use a hinged spring and catch, which is what these adapters are intended for.

Long story short, the adapters do not work to adapt the D2S/R bulbs to the ML fitment.

Mine is dremel custom to make the twist adapter work. Not my best work, but it has held up fine for almost a year now.

You interested in making a set for sale? I dont have time anymore to do this stuff, I thoroughly enjoy doing it but just no time with work these days. My company is contemplating doing a superbowl commercial and Im part of the group that makes sure our service can handle the influx of Calls to follow =(

you get rid of your other Volvo?
