Assistance needed with Navi install on 99ML
Help!!!
I've been trying to scour the web for about 3wks and have had very little luck in getting consistant information on this install. I'm not really a n00b with installing, but I'm having a heck of a time with this ML. Installing a AVIC-D3 navi unit and running into multiple issues. I've been having issues getting an accurate wiring diagram and have been attempting to use a multi-meter and previous install skills to determine the actual pin-out for this model. It's a 99 ML320 with factory bose system with amp and six disc changer. It's not using fiber, but does have the fiber attachment taped back. I've run into problems with the antenna booster and amp, and am also having problems locating a spot to install the speed sensor. I've read various postings, some stating that you'd have to install an adapter to use the speed sensor, and others saying that you can use a wire off the speedometer/tach to work as your speed sensor wire. getting frustrated and ready to run the thing off a cliff, as my wife's impatience is growing... LOL
