99 ML Heater questions...

The heater in our trusty ML seems to be lacking in the footwell area. Does anybody know if this is normal? The defroster & face vents heat very well. I would hate to go to the STEALERSHIP only to find this is normal. Any thoughts???

It is normal. On the advice I found somewhere online, I cut a slot in the ducting to allow more heated/conditioned air into the footwell area. I'll snap a pic of what I did if you want one.

Please do.

I set the blower knob to the 6 o'clock position so its on the feet and close all the upper vents. I can feel it on my feet just fine.
Its not super strong but it gets them warm.

Thanks for the tip & pic, I'll try it. I would guess to look for the same modification on the passenger side?
