240,000km for me, the only thing's i've replaced are the brake booster, some brushes in the water cooled alternator, the belts pulleys, and tensioners... now however it's stuck in the garage with BAS/ESP, ETS, ABS, BRAKES, EPC lights all on, plus no speedo, and no brake lights. i'm hoping it's not too troublesome to fix! - planning to change the injector seals once it's back on the road.

242K on 2000 ML320

I just past 242,000 Miles on my 2000 ML320.
I haven’t had any major expenses on this vehicle ever. The most expensive expenditure on it are new tires every few years. Some transmission fluid leaked out too, it’s amazing what another quart of TF will do to fix the weird issues. That was a $23 expense I’m happy to do every 3 years. I see no need to replace all the seals. (The electronic connections on the bottom side stayed dry, though I bought that part too, just in case, for ~$20.)

ML320 (1998)
1998 ML 320

Mine just turned 160,000 miles. Driven mostly in town to work and errands as we either use the wife’s Honda minivan or my 1961 Beechcraft Bonanza for trips. Bought it used from a business partner with 100,000 miles 7 years ago much below book for only $5,000. My partner thought it would be a good first vehicle for my son who was 16 at the time. He rejected the ML320, liking the smoother ride of the 1995 Camry I was driving at the time. The Camry ended up having more problems over the next 6 years, before I sold it off and got my son a different vehicle. Have had very few significant problems with it. Had to replace the power window switch unit a couple times. Replaced the electric coolant pump that runs for 5 minutes after turning off the vehicle. Replaced both of the windshield washer fluid pumps recently. Had to have the servo that controls the heat vs. outside air controller redone which was a fair amount of labor. Very happy with the reliability. Looking into replacing the headlight bulbs with either HID or LED now, which brought me to the ML320 user page for the first time in a while.

It has always been a fairly rough ride over bumps. Wonder if I should replace the shocks. Asked the non-dealer Mercedes repair shop to check everything at last yearly maintenance and was told I didn’t need anything done, though. Asked a few years ago to check the shocks or struts and was told I was good.

Every time I take it in they ask if I am interested in selling.

You have to much air in your tires. Read the gas flap. Recommended PSI is 29 I believe. I bet you have like 40 something in each tire. Not sure why every tire shop does this. EVERY SINGLE TIME WITH EVERY SINGLE ML I have to remind them to put manufacture spec PSI in each tire.

My ML320 calls for 32 PSI on the gas flap. That's what they are serviced to using a calibrated pressure gauge.

2002 ML55 - 420,408 MILES

Transfer case swapped out at 410k miles, big clunk, chain was sloppy.

Replace with 2005 ML350 case with 105k miles, cleaned it up and installed. Works like new.
45,620 miles to go for my 3rd high mileage badge. I bought the car in 2006, it had 57k miles.

420,408 Miles, on the way to the next high mileage badge @ 468k (750K)

2004 ML350

I have a 2004 ML350 I got it because i blew the engine in my 2008 Chrysler 300. Bought it at 170K now has 194K miles. The hood is faded, may need a set of tires and engine mount but I love my truck!! Im taking her to Daytona Beach this weekend!!
I've fixed minor issues and kept the oil changed with Mobil 1 only and she rides like a dream. Very fun to drive and looking at getting a new paint job soon!! See if i can get 250K+ miles.

Just completed my EGR service on a 2000 ML320 with 235k miles. Make sure to inspect the MAP sensor vacuum hose as well. Mine was cracked - causing EGR malfunction error code even after fully cleaning & replacing all EGR hoses.

302,385 miles and still running strong

Most recent work that had to be done was the front driveshaft. But, I drive this car hard. I live up in the San Bernardino Mountains. So, this car drives through all weather conditions. It’s amazing during winter in the snow. And, awd gets me through tough situations when I off-road in the summertime! I love my ML!
