Euopean Auto Solutions located in Waltham, Ma will fix your Mercedes using your parts. They are certified Mercedes mechanics and did a good job for me with brake pads and rotor replacement on my 2000 E320 4-matic. They gave me a loaner (you pay the gas) to get me back to Rhode Island while they worked on my car.

Our ML500 will go there for any non-warranty service in the future.

See them at http://www.virtualeas.com/index.html.

1998 ML320

Hi All:

I'm driving a 1998 ML320 and I noticed the belt pulley was making a loud noise and it seems the shaft was loose but I wonder if I can still driving my car or I need a special tool to tighten it up.

Best regards,
Dao Tran//

Just paid $786 at Chambers MB for that job on a 99 ML320. Seems high given that the part is only $200 or so even from MB.

I do all my small & medium maintenance items myself but use Viti in Tiverton for all jobs I can't handle. They have always treated me well. I always ask for a better parts cost and usually get it. They changed my center support bearing on my 98ML but that was under warranty so I don't have a price for you. No matter what we are always going to be charged more than we think we should pay but the alternative is a big risk as my father found out by taking his Mercedes to a local independent garage mechanic for an electrical problem. His repair ended up being done at Mercedes anyway for twice the price he would have paid if he had gone directly to Mercedes.

I co-sign this as well. I brought my vehicle (01 ML320) on Friday the 12th to have my wiper motor replaced. Ed is definitely a fair guy. I definitely will do business with them again.
