low coolant - 2002 ml320 - 11k miles
It must be leaking coolant since it is not hte first time its come on. We just had the A service done a few weeks ago too. Not exactly what I thought we would get from a 40,000 suv but o well.
Anyone else have this problem, and if so was it leaking, and what was the soultion, etc?
Thanks
Of course the dealership is closed right now so that is a no go (got their voicemail)

I could have pressed the issue more with the rep (he was very nice and I have his extension) but I don't think its that major of a problem (well, is it?)

if you dont think so no, eventually the problem will get fixed if anything it is known that this happened it is known that you didnt get help when you were supposed to so that should help

I am out this morning gettting stuff (gas for snow blower, etc) as its starting to snow, and the low coolant light comes on. I verify this in the owners manual, and it is. ...Thanks
Yes, you're definitely leaking coolant somewhere even though you may not see some on the floor. Lately, there's been several complaints about this as well as power steering fluid leak. The problem so far has been traced to the hose clamps and MB has issued new clamps for the power steering. Check (feel with your fingers) where the coolant hose meets the radiator and you will find that it's wet there. If that's the case, tighten the clamp at that point - not too tight. Also, check the power steering hose clamps at both the radiator end (P/S fluid it is cooled by coolant) and the other end. You may find them to be loose. Tighten them - not too much otherwise you'll shear the hose. Then as soon as you have time, take the truck in for them to replace the hose clamps with the new design. You may even have it done for free, given the amount of complaints posted about this lately. Hope that helps.
