HOW DO I GET YOUR ATTENTION?

Need help installing a new Windshield Washer Reservoir. The original used to pop in and out easily, but the new tank is larger and shaped differently. Anyone know what needs to be done to get the replacement tank installed on a 99 ML430? :nix:

Thanks.

A good way if getting peoples attention on the boards, is by not yelling "how do I get your attention" and maybe try introducing yourself. As far as your resivoir you need to remove the drivers side headlight, and you may have gotten a resivoir for a headlamp washer vehicle, and if yours does not have headlamp washers, it may be the wrong resivoir.

Hi Bryan,

It was not my intention to yell at anybody, just to see if I could get an answer to my question, as my first post was not successful in that regard. And, it looks like it worked!

As to the more constructive part of your reply, removing the headlight is a thought, although I could not get the tank past the ebox, the frame and an air conditioning hose, so I haven't come close to the headlight, as yet.

As far as I can tell, the replacement reservoir is the right one, according to the dealership and much surfing on the internet. My car does not have headlight washers, yet the replacement tank is for models with headlight washers. I was very specific when I talked to the parts guy at the dealership and he said that was the replacement tank they were using for the 99 ML430.

Thanks for your help and for the lesson on proper forum etiquette.

How about putting the question in the title of the thread. :slap:
