Hello everyone. I have a 2001 ML320 and when I lock my doors my exterior lights don't blink 3 times like they are supposed to. All doors are shut and do lock when hitting the lock button on remote. When I go to unlock them, the lights do blink once. What could the problem be?

sounds like you have a bad aam (all activith module). probably should have dealer repair because module has to be coded.

Are you absolutely sure all the locks are locking? I have a problem with a sticky driver's door lock and the alarm won't even try to set.

yes, all doors are locking.

If the engine hood isn't properly shut the lights won't blink.
After checking that, check your relay 7 fuses.
If these are okay, then it could be the AAM

if your door lock is stuck the alarm will not work. but if your locks all work then the module is the prpblem. i have replaced a lot of them for this issue.

when you say module - u are talking about the aam?

yes the aam. its located in the fuse box under the hood.

I have the same problem, is your trip computer working? If not, then that's your problem. You'll need to get a new trip computer because it's related to that circuit.

i do not have a trip computer - i do have the tow away (security) feature - that doesn't work. is that on the same circuit? the button is located where the trip computer would be.....
