I think my 430's ESP is trying to kill me
 

So I'm driving home yesterday, only crawling in traffic so less than 10mph, when i feel the car veer left, as though i just put a wheel through something grippy.

nothing in the rear view, so i don't dwell.

then at 40mph it happens again. a real drag and pull on the left front it feels like.

it happens 1 more time, then the ESP warning light comes on.

on my way in this morning i turned the EPS off, and had no issues.

Is this a known thing with these, I've had mine (a 2000 model) a year and this is the first sign of any fault, but it's quite a biggie.

Not a common issue. Most likely its a bad sensor. Have it diagnosed by someone with the Star diagnostic system. Should tell him immediately which part to replace.

This has happened to several members in the past. Sometimes it has been very hard to diagnose by Mercedes service.

possible lateral acceleration sensor. see dealer to repair because they need to relearn the esp computer after replacement of sensor.
