2001 ML 430 Won't start
I had my 2001 ml 430 at the dealer in Cabo so they could replace the crank position sensor. Two days later the brand new battery was completely dead. I assumed there was a short, but couldn't get back to until this week. I tried to jump the car but when I turned on the key, the lights and gauges went blank and there was a "clicK" sound coming from the right side when the key was turned on. I bought a charger today and hopefully this will fix the problem. Any ideas???

This definitely sounds like a bad battery connection.

Brand new battery could be defective. Infant mortality.
But I'm going to go with the Major, Bad connection. But bad connection could be internal to battery. Mike |
