I own an 01 ML430.After removing bolts there are two rubber grommets on the bottom of reservoir. You have to pull up on reservoir in order to lift it out of grommets.I have read MB installed a 7.5 liter reservoir on some models,I am not sure how to remove the larger reservoir.

ml 350 reservoir bottle

It would seem that the fuse box has to be removed. whilst looking for a replacement on ebay, a listed item replacement advises removal of the fuse box. Guess this one goes to the panel shop, getting to involved now. The bottle is (it seems) worn through on the bottom. Not leaking from fittings but actually from the container floor. thanks guys.

- Remove upper frame cross member
- Disconnect connectors and hoses from pumps
- Unscrew bolt
- Remove Fuse Box cover
- Loosen reservoir from the rubber grommets by pushing the reservoir inwards (towards engine), then upwards. You may need a helper to slight lift the radiator.
