Rough Idle After Oil Change

I had a recent oil change on my 1999 ML320 with 91,xxx kilometers (about less than 57,xxx miles). I noticed that ever since that oil change, my idling when engine is still cold, has been a bit erratic and rough. It eventually idles better as the engine warms up. Any comments or anything that I should be looking at? If the oil level is somewhat over the maximum, will it cause rough idling?

With the many warnings regarding the ill effects of overfilling the oil it appears that you are willing to gamble on the amount that will cause extensive damage to your engine when the corrective measure is extremely simple. Suck out the excessive oil.

Thank you, Mike. I will have the excess oil sucked out. I actually found out that it was over the MAX level just the other day. I should check the oil level regularly and more often even after a new oil change.
