2000 ML430 radio is playing but radio is not on.
 

I hope this may be an easy fix, maybe a fuse issue. Anyway, when I turn on the car, the radio starts to play even though the radio is not on. I cannot turn it off, change the channel, or change the volume. The lighted display is not on, but the radio is playing.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

I would start by removing the radio fuse for 5 minutes and replace. While you are removing the fuse check to make sure the fuse is good. There are two 12v feeds to the radio. One is on all the time and the other is switched on with the ignition key. If removing fuse, which is only one of the two 12v feeds, does not fix the problem try removing the negative battery terminal for a few minutes,

BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RADIO CODE before you remove fuse or battery terminal.

If you remove the battery terminal you will have to reset the steering limit sensors, window limits and sunroof limits after reconnecting the power. All this should be in your operators manual.
