ML350 (2009) media connection problems
I just bought a 2009 ML350. I tried connecting a new iPod to the media cable in the glove box. The screen shows "device incompatible". I had an older model iPod Classic that I than connected and the screen showed "authorizing device". It than appears to connect but the tracks/artists just show random 4 letter word (eg HKMO) and nothing plays. I'm stumped. Does anyone have any ideas on what's going on? Any help would be much appreciated !

A good point, however, I have a 2000 ML320 W163 with the standard Audio 10 stereo (with a cassette player) and would like to connect an iPod to it in a better way than with a basic cassette gadget with a cable attached. I haven't tried taking the stereo out to see if there are any spare audio out jacks in the back, or whether it would be better to upgrade the stereo. It works fine at the moment so I'm reluctant to mess around with it. The Audio 10 stereo is pretty good, so the Bose system that I haven't got must be very good! Steve.
