Intermittent Start issues/ Radio dead now??

Intermittent Start issues/ Radio dead now??
2000 ML320
When starting the car the last few days(Seems to happen when its sat overnight) it won't crank the first couple key turns, and then will catch.
Today the radio wouldn't come on either. I was leaning towards replacing the CPS or ignition switch, however it only seemed to be happening when it has sat for awhile which doesn't make too much sense for a CPS. Then with the radio not working it's kinda thrown me for a loop. any suggestions or ideas, CEL isn't coming on. What should i try to narrow it down?
Sidenotes-
Battery is about 5 years old. Also the cranking seems a little more labored, but this could be all in my head. it's my wife's car so I don't drive it all the time
