Oil dripping from black plastic device under the dash

I was trying to trouble shooting the Fibre Optic loop of my ML350 Radio system. I looked under the driver side dash to locate the Amplifier and noticed a rectangular compact black plastic devise with the following data labelled on it;

A0305454632 EGS52
SIEMENS 5WP2 0005CZ 02W41
1239589 GS0040 HW:03/01 SW:24/02

I examined it and turned it around and noticed brown oil was dripping from the joint where the cables connected to the device on to my hand. I wondered why oil would be dripping out of a rectangular compact plastic device that has no moving parts.

That is your ETC. The pilot bushing on your transmission needs changing. The seals are worn so the Oil passes from the tranny through the cable into the ETC. After changing the bushing, you must open the ETC & nicely clean it. Also of course clean the cables & the plugs.
You can have a look at this video & get the idea

Art,

Can you tell me the position/where exactly the pilot bushing is located? Is it inside the transmission, will the transmission be brought down to get to it or it is somewhere hidden underneath the vehicle attached to something? I have been under the vehicle and I can't find it. I don't know where to look for it i guess

Esoul the R&I Trans. 13 Pin Connector.PDF has a picture of the location. I am posting another PDF about transmission flush. In this PDF I have marked the position with a red arrow & red text. You will see it from underneath. You have to remove the heat shield( see R&I Trans 13 pin PDF). It is not a complicated job. The gearbox doesn't need to come down. Also check the video I posted.
