Did you buy the motor from the dealer or online?

You should not be able to move anything by hand with a proper working system. The new motor is broken.

On line.
I was able to move the linkage to open and close, when the motor was not mounted/hooked up

I will try to hook everything up again tomorrow, maybe I didn't get something clipped in enough? I just don't understand why both motors turn clockwise and stop as soon as I turn on ignition when controls are turned off. And even when I try to turn to heat or AC they wont move.
Have a good night and thank you so much for all the help.
Sorry to be a pain

Yes the linkage will move without the motor attached but once the motor is attached you should not be able to move anything at all.

When you attach the motor you are supposed to move the levers to accommodate the position of the motor when it is attached to metal socket on the underside.

And there are stops on the underside of the motor, so they do not go too far one way or the other. on the old motor, the large gear inside (yes I took it apart to see what was going on) was broken in two. when I plugged it back in and turned on the key, the motor just spun counter clockwise no matter if controls were off heat or ac

Please provide the link to where you bought the motor.

You should have bought the motor from the dealer to prevent these things from happening.

I do not trust the dealer near me.
They have sabotaged my car.
And I am not the only one that it has happened to.

When you get the replacement motor, try to turn the underside knob by hand; you should not be able to do so.

yes, I bought the replacement before I tore the dash apart.
I removed the old one, installed the new one and before putting everything back together, I took your advice and re connected the battery and started the truck. The motor turned counter clockwise (with all of the controls in the off position) I then turned the control to heat-no movement, then to AC nothing.
I turned off key, disconnected the battery and removed the new one. did same thing with old one. same results. then took the to screws that hold motor in place out, and I could hear (the old one "humming" so I took it apart and plugged it in and as soon as I turned on key, it just kept running with all controls off

it just spins in a counter clockwise direction. The large gear in side was split in two.
I stopped and messaged you.

OK, I understand.

One other thing, you do not have to disconnect the battery to do this job.

That makes it easier. Getting in and out of the truck in the snow is a pain in the @#$.

So, any ideas as to why it won't go back and forth? I think the broken gear in the old one is why it didn't work. And I think the gear broke due to it only going one way, not back and forth like it should.
My AC quit working last time I went to the dealer, that is also when my radiator started leaking and the hose clamp on my power steering unit all of a sudden came loose.
And I don't think it was a coincidence. Not three things when I told them I was not going to authorize $1000.00 worth of work just to get my remote locks to work.

Look at the motor #101. Is it the same as the Blend Door motor or different altogether?

that is different, and in a different location.
The diagram you sent me first, shows the location next to where the two hoses connect into the dash.
The #101 in my car works, if I manually move the linkage for the motor that is messing with me.
