Hey Guys,

I hit 166,666 miles on my 2004 ML 350. The truck still feels solid, but I feel that the ignition "sticks" a little when starting... any advice is appreciated...

What do you mean when you say sticking? Is it a little harder than normal while turning the key from position 1 to start? Are there any other issues relating to that like sometimes when you take the key out the buzzer still chimes like the key is still inserted?

Yes, that is exactly what is happening TechNutt. I have to insert the key to turn off the chime... :nix:

Check my thread on Ignition Tumbler. I installed mine two days ago and it's been working great. I didn't include the chime issue in the previous post because I was unsure if it was related. Mines was at the point where sometimes it wouldn't start or it would sound like the starter drive was not engaging the flywheel. Hope I'm not jinxing it, but I haven't had these issues for two days.

Dam-n, I was afraid of that tumbler issue. I will go to a local Euro car place and see how much it will charge... Thanks, so much...

Just change the oil, and fix stuff if it breaks.
