2002 ML320 W163 no crank help
 

2002 Mercedes ML 320 W163 130,000 miles.Got the car from a tow yard not running, no keys, call this car A.Had keys made and programed, car did not crank, specifically no crank. I bought a set of computers, including AAM EAM ABS ECU DASH, with keys and ring.Car still will not crank, replaced fuse box, no crank, replaced shifter assembly, no crank. Codes for no CAN BUS for all above modules.I bought another car this will be car B, this car drove to the shop,Removed all the computer components , key, sender, fuse box, transmission module, speedo head and shifter unit.Still no crank and same codes for can bus. Fitted all the components removed from car A to car B, car cranks and starts.On car B removed components until car would not crank,Have remover, shifter unit, AAM, ABS, and DASH, only when I disconnect the ECU or Transmission module does it not crank, please note at this is crank not start. I went through the wiring harness on car A and pinned out all wires on CAN BUS, all wires to the EAM, all wires from the key output, no shorts no broken wires, tested the contact plate in the transmission by connecting a new one on the outside, still no crank. There is a grey wire from the ECU to the fuse box, that when I turn the key on it becomes hot at 12V if I ground this wire it will activate the starter and the fuel pump relays, car will crank but not run.At this point ready to send both cars to a junk yard.This is my last attempt to either fix the problem, or find a wire to jump to activate the ignition and make the car run.I know that there are alarm companies that sell remote starter kits that must by pass the norm to make the car start and run. So it can be done?This is a 1 year only system according to the, all you need to know about Driver authorizing author.But it seems with the DAM disconnected it should still crank.. Any input would be good.
