ECU

I'm back to working on my ML again. No one is driving it right now, so it's getting fixed up a bit. Still haven't found why it misfires so badly, but it ran absolutely perfect for about 3 days, then terrible again. Now star can't even read the codes. At some point it listed it listed a bad ECU as one of the possible causes. My question is can I just buy one on ebay and plug it in like I did with the TCU.

The answer in NO.

You should always post questions on the original thread.

Thanks, that's what I thought.
Sick of the original thread, too many different things on it. I'll wrap it up with the answer some day.

Sent the ECU in to be rebuilt. They couldn't get it to fail in any way, so they are sending it back. Either this is one of those times when the car runs perfect, or the problem is somewhere else. I'll make sure my star system is working on one of my oher cars, Then plug this one back in to try to scan it again.
