Using burnt CD's in the ML

Hi All,
I have a 2002 ML500 and the cd's which are burnt and worked fine on my previous car aren't working on our ML.

Every track, the song skips the first 40 seconds of the song.

Just wondering if any of you are using burnt CD's on your ML and which brand do you guys used.

I've tested our 4 brands ranging from no-names to Maxell's and all exhibit the same behaviour.

The original CD's bought from a store work fine but i like to drive to a CD that i've put together with all of my favorite songs.

Any ideas?

Jim_MB,

I have no problems with either Roxio or iTunes burned CD's.

You didn't indicate the media type you are using. Should be CD -R
CD -RW can cause problems.

Also make sure you are burning them as music CD's.

If none of this helps, you should then look at your PC's optical drive you are burning with.

Do these CD's you are burning work OK in any other CD players you have other than the PC's drive?

CD-R works fine on my end.. its the CD-RW that don't work.
