99 ML430 Driver's Side Rear Window Removal
 

I have a 99 ML430 (which I absolutely love by the way). I need to remove the door actuator on the rear driver's side door in order to replace the spring, as it is currently machine gunning. In order to do so, I need to remove the window divider, and in order to do that, I must remove the window. Does anyone know if removal of the window regulator is necessary to remove the window? The 99's do not have air bags in the rear doors.
I am willing to post pictures if needed!

As far as I remember, I don't believe the regulator needs to come out. There's a bolt at the bottom of the glass that attaches to the regulator. If you undo it the glass should be free.

If you want to extend the life of that loose spring in the actuator and put it off until the spring ever fully breaks (which it may never)....I tried this easy fix from youtube...surprisingly....it worked extremely well for me on my ML.
