Ive tried searching the forums, but I cant find a straight answer.

Whats the largest wheels mounted on a W163 (face lift?) without any lift?

Original mine came with 255/60R17 that adds up to 71.65 centimeters = 28.2086614 inches in diameter.
I believe I saw someone mention they mounted 30\31 inch without any lift, but I don't recall where i found it (and if its true)

You can fit 31 inch without lifting it.

You can fit even bigger than 31 but you might get some rubbing on the plastic inner fender and lose some turning radius.

Go to the wolfgangml site on the internet archive back in about 2006 ,he has, or had all that info.
