Does anyone know where the thermometer is for the outside tempature? Since I have had my truck back from the body shop it hasnt been working... it has been giving me a reading of -36 degrees farenheit. Now Im no rocket scientist but I think its certainly been a lot warmer than that a few times since then... I just want to make sure its plugged in and if its broken I need to order the parts to correct the situation

-36 MEANS the sensor is disconnected. open the hood you will see the 2 aux fans look down between them and the bumper you should see the sensor cliped into the bumper find the connector and plug it back in

ok so here is the new problem... I found the plug you were refering to, where does that plug in or does something plug in to it... there are three plugs in the same general area... 2 have things plugged in to them the other does not(I assume the one you are refering to) there doesnt seem to be any other objects in that area... if the body shop was replacing a bumper would it be something they forgot to put on the car? or specifically omit to save some money on there end?

external temp sensor on the C

i've been trying to find the external temp sensor on my 2001 C240 but i cant. i've researched this and some people say that it's supposed to stick out of the bumber somewhere around the fog lights. i've looked everywhere in this area but i cant find it. my external temp is always set on 85 celcius so i think that it is unplugged. can anyone please help.
thanks
