Key won't turn
 

Oh well, 2 weeks without a problem isn't to bad is it? LOL Went out this morning to dig out my wife's ML500 from the snow. Started up fine, let it run for a few minutes and I drove it to the gas station to get gas for the snow blower. Came home and about 15 minutes my wife left to go to her office. She came back in and said the car would not start. I went out and it was almost like the key was locked. I couldn't turn it (even under normal circumstances you need 2 hands to turn this thing over! is this normal?). Sat on hold with both my dealer and roadside for a few minutes. Went back out about 20 minutes later and it worked. Any ideas?? Also, radio shuts off every now and then? Had a similiar problem with the W211. Is this a similar problem?

The 211 radio problem is caused by audio gateway software. You are describing a classic symptom of key and tumbler failure. Have'm throw in a ignition switch while they are in there.
