Thank you. Yeah, i've found them with the smooth black back ground but never with the back honeycomb look. I'll keep searching.

The first photo is of the trip gauge from start. The trip was from Payson, AZ to Logan, NM via hwy 60, 54, I-40, & 54 again, driving the posted speed. Elevations from 5000' to 8000' to 2500' to 5000' again. Temp started in the 30's ended at 65. Light and variable winds. At the filling station, the actual mileage for the tank was 552 miles / 16.32 gallons = 33.82mpg. This was my first fill-up since I bought the vehicle. I was pleased. The entire trip was 1771 miles on 58.06 gallons = 30.5mpg.

The second photo is of the car in the driveway on 03/10/14, a couple of days after I got home to northern MN. That is why my wife wanted a "M" instead of an "E", so she could get home in the winter.

My newest acquisition
Obsidian black ml63 2008. Although missing a couple of options like rear view camera, keyless go/entry and ventilated seats, i've never driven such a solid machine. Really happy with the purchase so far!

Here's my new (to me) 08 320 outside Banff Alberta. After buying it in Edmonton, and driving over 2000 km to Vancouver Island, I averaged 7.9l/100km (over 24 mpg US)

Once you disable the EGR you should be able to get that down to 7.0L/100 or even better.

Hi. I've been reading this forum for almost 10 years now to help me fix all the Benzes I've had through the years. Mostly V8 and V12 S-Classes, one R129 SL600 and I'm now on my first ML and first diesel too.

First off, THANK YOU ALL for all your wonderful posts, if it hadn't been for this forum and its DIYs I would not own a Benz.

Decided to share what has become of my latest Mercedes, the W164 2008 with OM642. THis was all thanks to a cumulation of ideas from this forum
