Question Wireless headphones stopped working

on the Rear DVD system. I put fresh batteries in, and I occasionally hear a popping sound, but no sound from the movie itself. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

We had this same problem with our DVD player/headphones in our ML350. It turned out to be a pinched cable that the dealer fixed. The LEDs on the front of the video diplay stopped lighting up (in the dark you can see a reddish light coming from them). We also lost sound through the headphone jacks also.
