It will probably be the same chasis as the new Dodge mini SUV. I saw one today and seems to be the right size for an MLK.

No. The new smaller MLK (as it is being called right now) is based on he next generation C-Class, due here in the U.S. for the 2008 model year. The MLK will come for the 2008 model year in the summer of 2008.
