Call me stupid...

I just discovered last night that you can use the keypad numbers to enter addresses into the nav! So, if you're going to 1234 NE 39th Street, just use the keypad to enter 39, then push the knob (OK) to confirm, then enter 1234 and push the knob (OK) to confirm and up comes the list of choices!

My nav hate level just went down 3 points!!!

I played with the 09 HD system. It's still a pain because you don't have a wheel like in the C and 2010 E. So, you still have to hit the buttons on the COMAND up and down and sideways to do anything.

Have you had a chance to play with the 2010 RX system? I really wanna find out how it works? Also, I looked on the Lexus website the other day to see if the system will download iPhone contacts (all current Lexus systems don't) but they still don't have the 2010 RX loaded.

But the Lexus system is quite not nice, very user friendly....well positioned on the vehicle, sits up higher.....The "haptic control"(mouse) is very user friendly. The visual(interface) on the Lexus system makes my 06 system look 10 years old...The head's up display looks great...the rear entertainment system is state of the art...The USB and ipod ports are positioned inside the center console, which l don't like, but l think they are working on that..Us Benz guys know Lexus.."boring and practical"...The old model held 36% of the luxury SUV market and l can't see that changing...The base model is $46,000 Canadian compared to $57,000 for the M-Class..l have to give the RX its props..its a nice vehicle.."good bang for the buck"...especially in this economy...

Yes, indeed. If you are not, then it's back to the ho-so-atrocious knob!
