Strange Noise From Engine Compartment
Just need some help.
I was cleaning my wife ML550 wheels in the garage and a strange whining noise came from the engine compartment (truck was not on). It's a small whining sound right in the middle of the engine compartment. It comes on every 4/5 mins. I opened the hood and recorded the sound on my cell phone. I guess I'll visit the dealer for my first appointment (1200 miles). Beside this, another issue is the passager seat. When the seat is empty, there is a sound of something loose. Any help would be appreciated.

Was it fairly soon after you parked the truck?
If you have air bags suspension, it could be the bags bleeding off pressure,
or it could be the radiator fan cooling of the motor.
