I have since spoken to my Master tech and he says that he has never had any luck with any MAF except those stamped with Benz log and #. $470 for a piece of plastic and a little metal! Seriously?
If there is a vendor willing to accept returns that might work.

Thanks for any help

2008 gl320cdi

Try mbpartsonline.com. I paid 315$ earlier this year. As long as you have the correct part number their prices are good.

Honestly i I was glad to replace this part. the turbo heat really does a number on it. Mine was getting in rough shape. I had probably north of 160k on mine when I changed it due to the plastic housing that surrounds the turbo seal breaking.

i have a 2008 gl320cdi so you may double check part number for your vehicle. But I would think same part.

thanks for the vendor contact. I just can't understand why an aftermarket Robert Bosch MAF is less than half cost of OEM when Bosch makes the factory OEM.
I am pretty disgusted with MBZ just now. We started with 4 of them two years ago. All wiht low mileage. One gave up the ghost in 2016 and three different shops could not get it running. And now the 2007 ML not only is showing MAF issues but stranded my wife 100 miles from home. The dealer diagnosed Trans control module. Then when that did not work they said that a new trans for $9000 would fix the problem. WHAT!? I have never had a trans go out with under 200k miles. We are towing it to a toyota dealer. Not as sexy as the silver star but at least more reliable!
Years ago I was stupid enough to buy a Olds diesel and I said never another GM product. If Benz sees this they can be advised that I keep my word. No GM product has graced my garage since 1983.
