2006 ML350 Coin Tray Removal
After searching the forums and the web on how to remove the coin tray I found various glib statements like "remove the cover with the A/C controls, it is easy".
I found the best way for me was to
1. remove the ashtray "2 screws"
2. remove the cover with A/C on it, this I achieved by using wedges under both bottom corners of the cover to release the latches (photo
1 & 2, cover already removed for clarity)
3. pull cover forward and up (photo 3 & 4 to see latch arrangement)
4. coin tray then pulls out (photo 5)(mind the wheel under the tray which slows down the tray on opening)
