Posted my new mod for the W164 guys in the AMG section. Thought it would help anyone trying to improve their stock sound system for pennies on the dollar.

Yup, it's that simple. Yes in the writeup I mentioned it's 15-20% more bass and much more crisp clear bass tones. Before it sounded all muffled and muddy and caused rattles because the air had no where to go.

Once you port the bass directly into the cabin it solves all those problems and significantly improves sound quality. Realisitically it only costs $50-60 including all the tools & etc.

It's worth every penny and greatly improves sound quality.

Opened the trunk and look at what I saw. Never noticed.

I guess you mod applies to 06-08 models.
